Precognitive Knowledge

Precognitive knowledge is the knowledge gained from precognitions or dreams and visions of the future. It has played an important role in events in the past, and many people in the present still believe in the importance of precognitive knowledge and its usefulness in averting potential tragedies or disasters. Studies by psychic researchers estimate that about one-third to one-half of precognitive knowledge gathered from precognitive experiences may be useful in preventing disasters and tragedies from happening.

Some theories suggest that precognitive knowledge is generated from glimpses into the future, which are influenced by present conditions and past information. These future events can be changed or prevented from happening by an act of free will. Another theory suggests the precognitive knowledge are self-fulfilling prophecies. Proponents of this theory suggest that precognitive knowledge unleashes a powerful psychokinetic energy, which eventually causes the envisioned future to pass. J.A. Barker, the founder of the British Premonitions Bureau, published a book entitled, “Scared to Death,” where he discussed accounts of people who died in the manner and time predicted by fortune tellers, saying that knowledge of the information eventually resulted to their deaths.

Precognitive knowledge can be derived from dreams, waking visions, and sudden flashes of images, hallucinations, and even feelings, known as presentiments. Precognitive dreams are the most common sources of precognitive knowledge, and it is believed that most people have precognitive dreams that they fail to recognize as such. Channeling, going into a trance, mediumship, and divination are some of the techniques used by psychics, mediums, and seers to induce the generation of precognitive knowledge.
