How Numerology Works
In numerology, all numbers are laden with innate meanings that greatly affect people’s lives and other processes in the universe.
In determining how numbers can affect and provide information or “truths” about individuals, each person is given a set of “code” determined through his or her full name and birth date. These codes determine the numbers attached to that particular individual –- numbers that govern his or her life and reflect his or her personality.
Numerologists attach numbers to an individual’s name, adds these numbers in a variety of combinations with the person’s birth date, and comes up with a set of the person’s “key numbers.” A numerologist would then use these numbers to provide concrete descriptions of the person’s personality and other personal characteristics. Many people are often amazed at how accurate these descriptions can get, which adds up to the number of numerology believers.
This set of key numbers usually include a “life path number,” which is described as the “path” that one has chosen to be able to achieve his or her mission or goals in life. This is determined through one’s birth date. It also includes a “day number”, which is the person’s way or approach to life. There is also the “personal year,” the stage in which the person is at his or her 9-year cycle. This number provides information on one’s future and current cycles. Patterns of one’s daily, monthly, and annual growth cycles are also used to determine one’s future.
One’s name, on the other hand, reveals one’s “inner number”, which reveals his or her heart’s desire or inner feelings. The “outer number”, however, reveals one’s outer persona or personality. Also included in the key numbers are the “destiny” and “transit” numbers. The first reveals one’s key to success, and the latter shows the energy for a person in a particular year.
