History of Distant Readings
Distant readings are a series of psychic readings done without actual or face-to-face interaction between the person asking for readings and the psychic. Unlike other forms of psychic reading such as tarot card reading, astrological reading, palm reading, and numerology, distant readings do not make use of any chart, formula, or instrument in making predictions and conducting client readings. The main weapon of a psychic doing distant readings is his or her intuitive and extrasensory perception.
Distant readings are usually conducted through mail, through phones, and now, through the Internet. People requesting for readings send in questions about their lives. Through these questions, the psychic tries to detect visual and verbal vibrations to be able to look for answers and determine what lies ahead for the client. In some cases, remote viewing is conducted.
Unlike other types of psychic reading, there is no known record on where and how distant readings started. There is no particular date, period, or place that can be pinpointed as the roots of distant readings, though this method may have evolved from other psychic reading methods today. Unlike other psychic reading methods, distant readings are not governed by strict rules, formulas, underlying principles, or any other concept that can give concrete information or even clues on the beginnings of distant reading. There are also no known icons to represent this psychic reading method, though this it has already been extensively used through the years by many people worldwide.
Because of this lack of background information on distant readings, a lot of skeptics believe that this method is plain guessing.
