Developing ESP
The proponents of ESP believe that everyone has some degree of psychic ability, only that this ability is markedly more developed in others. One evidence to suggest the presence of extrasensory abilities in the average person is the gut feeling or the hunch, which is the subconscious part of the mind warning the person of an impending danger.
ESP is usually divided into five categories: telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, retrocognition, and psychometry. Everyone has these abilities, although they lay dormant in the majority of the population due to lack of recognition or lack of practice. Still, these abilities can be honed and improved with the right training.
Psychics believe in the importance of "psychic levers"—tools and techniques that anyone can use to stimulate the "Ideo-Motor Response" (IMR), the minute changes in the muscles that are subject to subconscious stimuli. With practice, the IMR can be tested using a pendulum, an Ouija board, or a random field device.
Another useful tool that can be used to develop ESP abilities is the Energy Wheel. This wheel uses a lightweight rotor that is used to spin the wheel in one direction. With practice, anyone can mentally reverse the direction of the wheel, and this can even be done from a few feet away.
There are also a multitude of ESP tests and resources available online. One of the most popular is the Zener Card Extrasensory Perception test, which uses ESP cards to test extraordinary guessing abilities. Psychic websites are also good sources of tools and instructions on how to reach the state of mind where ESP can be best achieved.
