What is Channeling?
Channeling is the process in which a line that connects the world of the living and that of the spirits’ is opened. The psychic medium or channeler is the one who initiates the opening of this line.
Brief history of channeling
Channeling was already known by people of different civilizations thousands of years ago. During the dawn of human civilization, there was already the knowledge and desire to communicate with entities that do not belong in this physical world. During the early times, seers, priests, and medicine men are among the individuals that are called, in today’s language, psychic mediums or channelers.
Tasks of channelers
As mentioned earlier, channelers are the mediums through which the living and the spirit can communicate with each other. This group of psychics claims to channel entities such as demons, angels, and spirits of dead people. The forms of channeling include psychic healing, ouija board usage, seance, and automatic writing.
Types of channeling
There are two ways by which a channeler can serve his of her purpose. The one is through trance channeling, in which the medium falls asleep and another entity will take control of his or her body. In this type of channeling, the medium, upon awakening, has no memory of what took place. The second type of channeling is called by some as conscious channeling. In this type, the medium retains his or her consciousness. Although this type of channeling is less pure than trance channeling, it is the safer of the two because the medium in this type can control the entity that enters his or her body.
