Accuracy of Distant Readings
Psychic individuals and groups usually post client testimonials on how accurate their readings. Nevertheless, there can still be no concrete way to figure out whether distant readings are really accurate or not. Statistics of “accurate” predictions compared with those that were not are still not enough to tell whether the next reading would be accurate or not.
Since distant readings, like other forms of psychic readings, are outside the realm of scientific knowledge, there is no scientific way to prove or gauge how accurate distant readings can get. There’s no way one can know whether a psychic’s readings are really based on psychic vibrations, if there is any such thing, or on plain guesses. However, if you’re looking for psychic groups or individuals with higher rates of accuracy (having more accurate predictions than inaccurate ones), then you can always ask around or check the Internet for websites offering information on psychic groups and individuals offering their services. Clients usually post comments online, and it wouldn’t hurt checking them out.
Skeptics of distant readings believe that distant readings are basically guesses. They argue that “accurate” readings are only coincidental. These distant reading skeptics say that people who believe in distant readings and other similar methods consider “true” readings as accurate predictions, while ditching those that weren’t “inaccurate.” Skeptics think that people have the tendency to believe what reinforces their beliefs and wants, and ignore those that do not. Therefore, believers of distant readings can choose to find explanations on why some of the predictions that psychics gave them did not realize.
